Gospel music has experienced lot of chiselling, rebranding  and
reconfiguring over the years, from the traditional ones like hymns which still serves as basis of most church services today, to likes of songs from The Good women Choir, Evangelist Niyi Adedokun,Jimi Osikoya,Evangelist Bola Are, to mention few. This, as part of Nigeria Music Industry has contributed to the success story of the industry as a whole.
Gospel Music, has revolved from the traditional ones that are purely sang in the indigenous dialect (Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba), to the modern ones that have the infusion of English language or better Pidgin English with songs sang in R and B, Hip hop, Rock, Jazz, Reggae and many more. These seems to attract youngsters and any youth at heart.  Even Fuji that is not generally accepted in the Gospel arena has come to stay, by the likes of Midnight crew celebrating it essence.
Gospel music has carved a niche for itself in the entertainment industry as well as career path to many, with  influence of artists like Sammy Okposo, Folake  Umosen Midnight crew ,Bolaji Isreal, Lara George,Sinachi,Danny  Praize,Eben,Micah ,Funke Akinokun , Gabriel Eziashi, Frank Edwards, Psalmos and many more, are all  part of the success story of the industry. They have all  been contributing their quota  to the booming music Industry.
Also, it is worth to commending the early Gospel Musicians who may not have harvested from this bountiful harvest but had laid the foundation for current and upcoming musicians to build on.

Watch out for more next week!!!
